The Constitution

 

This constitution is still in the developmental state, but three articles as well as a preamble have been completed.

Preamble: 

Whereas sovereignty and self-determination are the inherent rights of all peoples, and no nation shall be subject to foreign dominion or subjugation, the people of Sakkari proclaim our sovereignty as a micronation in the State of Sakkari which shall live in peace, be unified, and stay safeguarded under the protection of the Constitution, and by the grace of God we declare this State indivisible, and a land of freedom, peace, and social harmony, and subsequent thereto, shall be the governing force to form the state of Sakkari, and in accordance with these ideals, the Constitution of Sakkari is established as the supreme foundation of our state, whereas the rights, freedoms, responsibilities, and protections of all Sakkari citizens shall be upheld and never pardoned. And by the hand of God, we declare our autonomy from imposed servitude of foreign powers and ensure safety and equality for all Sakkari peoples without distinction of race, class, sex, or religion.


Article I
On sovereignty, name, regions, and territories of the State.

1. The state shall be known, in Sakanura and English, by the name of Sakkari.
2. The State of Sakkari shall be a unitary state, in the form of a constitutional monarchy.
3. The language of the State of Sakkari shall be Sakanura.
4. The national emblem shall be the pink, white, and green tricolor lotus flag.
5. The maxim of the state shall be “The Path of Peace”.
6. National sovereignty is in the hands of the people, vested in the people, and cannot be revoked from the people.
7. Nationality in the State of Sakkari shall not be prescribed by law. All Sakkari peoples shall hold freedom in nationality and by choice enact and revoke one’s own identity.
8. The territory of Sakkari is characterized by its online governmental sectors, indivisible and includes all regions and provinces as defined by law.
9. The provinces of the state shall be as follows, Suar, Pinang, Janji, Pyogan, Lingh, Sakuan, Kwanna, Aing, Insha, Kiem, Chongki, Kawajung, Mamar.
10. Political parties and groups shall exercise suffrage and preform freely, they shall respect the principles of the state.
11. Statutes shall promote equal access to elective offices and positions of responsibility regardless of sex.
12. Statutes shall promote diverse expressions of opinion and equal participation of politics parties and groups.

Article II
On Personal Liberties and Freedom 

1. All citizens are equal before the law and are entitled to equal protection.
2. Freedoms of speech and expression in ideas including media and press shall be protected
3. Freedoms of assembly and association are protected
4. Citizens have the duty to uphold the Constitution, respect the rights of others, and contribute to national development.
5. Arrested persons shall be informed on the reason for their arrest and allowed to be defended by a consultant of their choice as soon as possible on the grounds of the arrest.
6. Unlawfully detained persons shall be satisfied and/or compensated, and released after complaint to the court is filed and resolved.
7. Lawfully detained persons shall be brought before a magistrate of their rightful region no more than twenty-four hours after detainment, (excluding time of journey), and provided that detained citizen is a permanent resident of the region where the hearing and detainment is conducted shall the hearing be held.
8. Lawfully detained persons shall spend no less than three hours each business day participating in PPREP (Prison Post-Release Employment Program), in acknowledgement of personal religious holidays and cultural rituals and mental and physical disability accessibility accommodations. 
9. No person shall be subject to legal punishment for an offense or crime which was not punishable by law when it was committed. No person shall be subject to a more severe punishment for an offense than was prescribed by law when it was committed. 
10. No person shall be tried twice for the same conviction, except where a retrial has been ordered by the magistrate in whom had convicted them. 
11. No person shall be tortured or be compelled to testify against himself in criminal cases.
12. No person shall suffer unjust treatment or punishment on account of an offense committed by a relative.

Article III
On Prohibited Slavery and Forced Labor

1. No person shall be held in slavery. No person shall be forced to hold a position of employment against their will, but Parliament by law may enact the position within PPREP (Prison Post-Release Employment Program) for national purposes.
2. Prison Labour Programs shall be performed under authoritative supervision in accordance to the laws within Article III of this Constitution.
3. No person shall be forced to perform labour, a duty, service, or money in return for freedom or civil liberties.
